在高速上飞飙刹车突然失效?想想都是一场梦魇,怕是每个人都不想遇到的。正因为此,科研人员在刹车片磨损指示方面也是煞费苦心。

然而目前来看,不管是机械式还是电子式的磨损指示器(Wear Indicator)都有一个共同的缺点,即只能等到磨损到极限位置时才能报警。是否能让刹车片剩余厚度像油量一样实时显示在仪表盘上?今天,我们就来看一个最新的发明专利。

Vehicles frequently use friction brakes to convert kinetic energy.


Since the pads are designed as wear parts the pads aregenerally softer than the brake disc, the pads experience a change of the padthickness over their usage duration.


车辆往往使用摩擦制动器来转换动能。由于刹车片被设计为磨损件,刹车片通常比刹车盘软。在使用期间,刹车片会有厚度的变化。


The necessity results this pad thickness change, that it isrecognized by the vehicle user when the pads have reached a so-called remainingpad thickness wear limit a replacement of the brake pads is necessary.


磨损造成刹车片厚度变化,当刹车片达到所谓的剩余厚度或磨损限制时,必须更换刹车片。


 In order to ensure optimum use ofthe brake pads, it is desirable for the instantaneous actual state of theindividual brake pads, i.e., their pad thickness, to be able to be detected atany time.

Proposals for this purpose have been made, one of which provides regularlychecking a marking applied to the brake pad thus providing a decisioncriterion for the pad change. However, this check requires a certain regularityand certain cleaning work in order to unambiguously recognize the marking.


    为了实现此目的,有很多建议。其中一个是在刹车片上做一标记,为刹车片更换提供一决策标准,然后定期检查。但是,检测需要一定的规律性,并且一定的清洁工作,以明确识别标识。


A basic concept of the invention comprises providing a wear distancesensor  with a probe in a housing, whichis arranged in a brake pad such that it is subjected to the same wear as thebrake pad itself. The wear distance sensor the probe is therefore alsoshortened in the same amount by the wear. This advantageously results in aresistance change, which is simple to measure which is continuouslyprovided as an ohmic resistance value, i.e. a measurement, thereforedisplay of the pad thickness of each brake pad is possible.

该发明的基本设想是使用一磨损距离传感器,传感器的壳体里有一个探头,该探头被装置在刹车片里,这样传感器与刹车片本身会有相同的磨损。具有探头的传感器由于磨损变短,这就造成传感器里电阻器的变化,而实时的测量电阻器的欧姆值很简单。这样,显示每个刹车片的厚度变的可能。

原理很好理解,方法与小编之前想的一样(-_-#),在具体实现上文章里做了些建议,如壳体使用耐热的非导电体、电阻器需使用热稳定性电阻,而且硬度要与摩擦材料类似或比刹车盘软,这些都是适用的关键条件。


 该专利实际应用或许还需假以时日,但World is changing rapidly,我们拭目以待。
